American actress Courtney Thorne Smith (born November 8 in 1967). Her credits include Alison Parker in Melrose Place, Georgia Thomas in Ally McBeal, Cheryl In According to Jim, and Lyndsey McElroy's role in Two and a Half Men. Thorne Smith was raised in Menlo Park in the south of San Francisco. Walter Smith was her father and Lora Thorne was her mother. Both were computer-based market researchers. Courtney was just seven years old when her parents separated. Courtney lived with both parents at different times. Jennifer, her older sibling is an ad executive. She attended the Menlo-Atherton high school in Atherton, California and graduated Tamalpais High School in Mill Valley in 1985. While in the high school, she also participated in the Ensemble Theater Company in Mill Valley. Thorne-Smith's first film appearance in the 1986 feature film drama Lucas with Winona Ryder Corey Haim, and Charlie Sheen. She was also involved in numerous films during the late 1980s such as Welcome to 18 (1986), Revenge of the Nerds II: Nerds in Paradise (1987), Summer School (1987) and Side Out (1990). In 1998, she was the star of the box-office flop Chairman Of The Board together with Carrot Top. In 2009, she was a character in Sorority Wars. In the 1990s, Thorne-Smith had a relationship with Andrew Shue, her on-screen lover from Melrose Place. In June 2000, she tied the knot with Andrew Conrad, a geneticist. The couple broke up in January 2001. On January 1 2007, she was married Roger Fishman, president of the marketing firm the Zizo Group and author of the book What I Know. She gave birth to Jacob Emerson Fishman on January 11, 2008 at the age of 40.
