Abigail Marie Clancy Bio
Abigail Marie Clancy is an English catwalk, lingerie and TV model from England. She was second in the final of Britain's Next Top Model (cycle 2 in 2006) and she was the winner of series 11 on Strictly Come Dancing (2013). Since 2015, she is Britain's Next Top Model. Clancy was born in Liverpool, the second oldest of four children of Karen (nee Sullivan) and Geoffrey Thomas Clancy. She was born in Woolton close to Liverpool and attended St Mary's Primary school and St Julie's Catholic High. Clancy was the founder of the girl group Genie Queen, who were directed by Andy McCluskey from Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark (OMD). Clancy was selected as one of the thirteen finalists of Living TV's Britain's Next Top Model in summer 2006. Clancy was a contestant for a modeling contract for a period of 10 weeks. Clancy was joined by Lianna Fowler for the finale runway show, and was the runner-up. Clancy was the first model to appear on Britain's Next Top Model. Clancy posed for Arena magazine in May 2007. He was included on the cover of the magazine with the Triumph Bonneville Motorbike. Clancy was chosen to appear in Sports Illustrated magazine in the 2010 edition of the swimsuit. Clancy was featured because of her sporting relationship to Peter Crouch. Clancy was photographed by the magazine wearing only body paint to make it seem as if she were wearing an England shirt. Yu Tsai took the photographs. Clancy was featured in a campaign by Umbro sportswear, wearing an England shirt, along with other footballer's wives and girlfriends from countries who have been crowned winners of the World Cup. Clancy walked in the Giles Deacon Ready-To Wear line Giles Spring 2011 collection.In March 2011 Clancy appeared on the Elite Model Management: New York division website. She was part of London designer Hasan Hejazi's campaign for July 2013. The editorial was shot created by Absynth Photographyic. The fashion film was directed by Gabriel Gettman. Clancy was also model in the August issue of UK Esquire cover shot by Solve Sundsbo. Clancy was among the featured models in LOVE magazine's Advent Calendar, alongside SukiWaterhouse and Cara Delevingne. Clancy made her debut on the cover British Marie Claire's July 2014 issue and British Elle's March 2015. Abbey Clancy was joined by her daughter Sophia Crouch and Lipsy, a London-based fashion designer, to launch of their AW'19 collections. The collection was officially launched in the UAE in January 2020.
